Berringer Cooperage

Berringer Winery returned to Köch Construction to build their cooperage
facility. The cooperage houses state of the art equipment and machinery for wine
barrel manufacturing. Berringer’s new equipment was sent from Europe,
and despite equipment delays and incessant electrical revisions, Köch
completed the project ahead of schedule. The barrel "toasting room"
features a special deluge fire suppression system.

After competitively bidding their tanks form the concrete floor
and footings were redesigned, saving 50,000 dollars.
On the site of the original Italian Swiss Colony, Köch had
to first remove the deep foundations from the 9th century facility.
Unfortunately the weather delayed the start. However, Köch
Construction was able to complete the structure before the seasonal
crush.
Berringer is one of the few instances that chose to make their own
barrels. They chose Köch to construct their cooperage.
Sebastopol Tractor and California Cider Buildings

Köch Construction built the two seperate buildings. One housing
Sebastopol Tractor and the other housing California Cider.

The plaster finish and tile roof of this building disguise the
fact that this building is actually a cost saving, pre-engineered
metal building. Neighbors marveled at the speed at which this facility
sprouted from the ground.
